Had an amazing night with Emma and Scott! Whilst guiding us through the olive grove, Emma passionately told us all the ins-and-outs about the whole process of olive oil making. Next, Scott facilitated the olive oil tasting with the most stunning view. Appetizers were included, and to our surprise, Emma filled the whole table with food and wine was overflowing. We spent the rest of the evening talking about anything and everything with Emma and Scott. I would definitely recommend doing the olive oil tasting with this lovely couple.

If you want an amazing, educational and culinary experience tasting and learning about Extra Virgin Olive Oil, I *strongly recommend* a trip to Olive Hill Sabina. This remarkable family run olive farm in the Sabine Hills near Rome is a great day trip, or overnight adventure. You will be able to walk in the fields, learn about olive trees and how they are cultivated, and Most importantly, how to taste, and select the highest quality EVOO for YOUR FAMILY. After
1. Knowing what makes it Extra Virgin. 2. Learning how to read the label for origin, harvest date, and purity (you will never drink blended or mixed oils again.)
The hosts gave us a personalized, detailed and delicious entry into what makes their Extra Virgin Olive Oil special without a heavy sales pitch or pressure. Of course, after trying their oil, we did buy as much as we could carry home to everyone we love. :-))

As requested by my Mom we booked this experience while staying in Rome and it far exceeded our expectations. Emma and Scott were the most lovely hosts explaining life as olive farmers on the most beautiful little slice of land. It is clear they are both very passionate about what they do and what a treat for them to share with others a literal taste of what that's like. In addition to our olive oil tasting with Scott, Emma made an incredibly delicious little feast with delicious wine to accompany. Truly the most memorable experience, you would be crazy to not book should the opportunity present itself. Thank you again!

Emma and Scott go above and beyond. Their passion for biologically producing real local Italian olive oil ? is great. Knowledge of oil, types and taste is Scott's part. Emma is showing their olive grove telling you about the trees, wildlife and plans for the future. After a trip through types of olive oil a combination with food starts. If you want a true foody experience this is a must do! A forty minutes drive from Rome is a must do!

Recently I had the opportunity to have an Olive Grove Tasting and Tour experience with Emma & Scott at the Olive Hill Sabina Farm. It was absolutely unforgettable! Nestled in the Sabina Hills just under an hours drive from Rome this experience was a highlight of our recent Italy tour.

They both share a passion and enthusiasm with their guests for their farming, their learned techniques and their journey to becoming full-blown Olive growers. (Bio/Organic) distinction too!

The olive oil tasting was generous and interesting filled with historical and tasty tidbits about the different variations of olives that grow in this region and the surrounding areas of Italy. I learned so much.

Our tour included a delicious charcuterie, wine or aperol spritzer and with the sun fading in the distance it was an opportunity to snap some few photos of this incredible picturesque valley.

I am really looking forward to returning and helping with the harvest next year too. AND Emma and Scott have just added an Airbnb. You'll want to check that out as well.

More to come! Well done my new friends.

Emma and Scott at Olive Hill Sabina are two wonderful, fun and knowledgeable people whose passion for the land, the trees and the highest-quality olive oil possible is contagious! They kindly opened their home to our American tour group and we had a lovely and delicious time. Scott led us in a tasting flight, sampling local and national oil varieties, as he taught us what to be looking out for. Emma gave us a fascinating tour of their well-cared-for grove then supplied us with a huge, delicious “aperi-cena” (dinner of appetizers). Our group couldn’t have been more pleased to share time with them. A number of our attendees would like to come back and stay at their bnb!

When you buy a bottle of Scott and Emma's aromatic and deeply delicious extra virgin Sabine olive oil, you are not only buying a top quality, certified organic product, you are buying an excellent EVOO with a fascinating back story. In four short years Scott and Emma's determination, pluck and hard work transformed a neglected, almost feral, olivetto of 400 olive trees, into a well-run, productive, certified organic olive farm that has earned them the respect and admiration of their Italian neighbours. The history of olive oil production in central Italy's Sabine hills has been scientifically traced back to at least 2700 years. 1800 years ago, the Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher Galen of Pergamon, who was considered to be one of the most accomplished of all medical researchers of antiquity, affirmed that Sabina's olive oil was the best in the Roman world, not only for its culinary, but also for its medicinal value.
1800 years later, Scott and Emma are carrying on this ancient tradition of excellence producing fragrant oil from handpicked olives which are crushed the day of the harvest at a state of the art olive mill. The flavour and quality of the extra virgin olive oil that they produce at Olive Hill Sabina would make Galen proud.
If you are ever in the neighbourhood, Scott and Emma offer a fascinating olive grove tour and olive oil tasting as well. Not to be missed!
